They had different destinations.
He wanted to soar high above people’s expectations
She wanted to run away, and go back to the place that yearned for her.
They had their differences,
but they never let that come between them.
They didn’t talk everyday,
and rarely got to meet each other.
They had a label on them,
that kept them apart even when they wanted to be together.
Those days passed and turned to months,
the distance between them grew stronger
tearing them apart,
because he never tried and she gave up trying. Continue reading
Albert Einstein had once said “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.” Good morning everyone! Hope you’re all having a great day. Today I will be writing about the above mentioned quote which is a very popular quote that teaches us that everyone’s life has it’s own ups and downs but it’s up to us on how we face them.
I have often heard that many people choose to run away from their problems but I personally feel that we can only end our problems by facing them. As a kid, I’d often run away from my problems like hiding test papers, eating up boxes of chocolates without telling my parents etc. but that was only because I was afraid of what people would say, I was afraid that people would jump to conclusions without knowing the real reason behind what I did (the funny thing is that even at that age I was afraid of what people would say).
But soon my parents realized what I was doing and calmly explained to me that everyone has problems, whether the problems are big or small you shouldn’t be afraid to share it with your parents but most importantly you alone should be able to face your problems strongly and also, the problems you faced in your past cannot be changed, forgotten, edited or even erased; these problems can only be accepted and then only can you move on in your life. If you don’t leave your past in the past, it will destroy your future. Live for what today has to offer not for what yesterday has taken away. Continue reading
Sometimes it’s hard to face the challenges,
but it’s even harder if your lonely.
It hurts to know that no one cares.
Someday, when you’ll actually understand me,
you’ll realize all the times you were wrong I didn’t say a word,
but when I’m wrong, I just become a laughing stock.
The days I tried to fake a smile, to fake a laugh, to fake that I’m strong
were the days that I’ll always remember, because I realized that
No one can see those tears I’ve been holding back,
no one can see the pain I’ve been through.
Maybe not today, nor tomorrow
but someday I know that someone will understand me…
But I just hope that it won’t be too late. Continue reading
Bill Cosby had once said : “Those who criticize our generation forget who raised it.” Good Evening everyone! Hope you’re all having a great day. Today, I will be writing about our society and it’s expectations.
Let’s start with the bitter truth that in our society, you can NEVER be good enough. It’s sad to know that you will be judged on literally everything you do like on what you wear, how you act and especially about what you look like. You’ll even be made fun of for being who you are.
If your skinny, you’ll be called anorexic. If your thick, you’ll be called obese. If your friendly, you’ll be called fake. If you’re quiet, you’ll be called rude and the list just goes on.
At this rate, I personally feel that our society aims at bringing us down rather then making us strong leaders for the future. As a human being, each and every single one of us has the right to freedom of expression and we shouldn’t let anyone take it away from us.
Our society expects way too much from us and when someone tries to move one step towards their dream, then the society criticises so much that we even start to question our existence.
To all my readers, all of us are unique and amazing in our own ways. Don’t aim towards perfection because personally I feel that perfection kills. Their’s no such thing as perfection, so strive for progress not perfection.
“If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they’re yours; if they don’t they never were.”
Good Morning everyone! Hope you all are having a great day! So, today I was going through the web reading quotes (If you didn’t know, I love reading quotes) and I came upon the quote “If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they’re yours; if they don’t they never were.” And, I thought should I agree or disagree with this quote?
This quote brings back a great memory… it was about my friends. It was just another morning of February 2017, when two of my friends were having constant conflicts and fights. They were simply unable to clear the misunderstandings between them and for some reason I felt that if I left our trio, then things would become better between them. I thought that if I am not there between them, then they’ll just have each other to talk to so that they can clear the misunderstandings between them. I felt that they were better of without me. So… I let them go and left because I really valued our friendship.
I went and explained everything honestly to them that day but, the situation ended up in all of us being in tears. They became really mad and angry at me wondering why I would make such a selfish and stupid decision.I then realized what a stupid mistake I had made, so I had to ignore them and avoid them that entire day. They tried their best to convince me to change my mind but I didn’t because I felt that maybe this would bring them closer and in a way it did because the next day where ever I went in my school to avoid them they always found me because they cared. For just a little longer,
there was heavy rain
and I was with my friends.
The millions of raindrops didn’t go in vain
because I was with my friends.
We just couldn’t stop laughing,
by the humor of our situation.
We just couldn’t stop playing,
because of the wildness of our imagination.
We splashed and jumped in the puddles,
enjoying each and every moment.
We ran and played and cuddled,
for we knew our friendship, no one could torment. Continue reading
Hello everyone! Hope you’re all having a great day. I am Zovi and welcome to my blog ZOVISION.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said “Do what you feel in your heart to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway. You’ll be damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.” And this quote has inspired me to follow my heart and start blogging. For me, this quote not only stands for believing in myself and following my heart but it also inspires me to move on with my thoughts, irrespective of negative criticism from people. Also, it says that we should own up for our actions and decisions, and not blame anyone or anything for it. God has given us a huge blessing by letting us live this life along with its ups and downs and that’s what makes it perfect. So make mistakes as life is too short to not do what you feel is right.
If you ever need inspiration, poems, articles, short stories and so on, you are at the right place. So, drop by and say hello because all of your thoughts mean a lot to me. Don’t be afraid to express your views because ZOVISION is not just about my views, but as the name suggests it’s about Zovi’s views, which means our views.
Keep smiling and next time when you think of beautiful things, don’t forget to count yourself in.
