The Sound Of Silence

I have a voice but it isn’t mine” Annabel Pitcher

Good Morning everyone! Time is free but it doesn’t wait for anyone. You can’t own it but you can use it. You can’t keep it but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.  I am Zovi and I have realized that in this fast-moving world you are on your own because people rarely have the time and patience to look and ponder over their past even for a second.

So, when you need something in life, don’t be afraid to speak up with the people who love you and genuinely care about your well-being. I know that often in life you may have held like screaming but you stayed silent… Why? When people tell you lies and you can see it why does it embarrass you and why do you stay silent and let them keep speaking pretending you cannot see the lies? When you are hurt and breaking apart why do you not express yourself? Why are you afraid? Continue reading

Memories

Cause in the end all you have is memories

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you are all having a great day. Family is the most important ingredient in this recipe of life and the memories made with them are the ones which we can never forget.

Life may not always be fair to us but never forget the one who stood by your side and encouraged you to do your best because there’s no point of being upset over the loss of the people never valued you. Continue reading

Family [Short Story (2/2)]

I was left in this skepticism and then suddenly I became conscious of the environment surrounding my wife and it seemed more like a hospital and thats when reality struck me and I noticed the worry filled within my wife’s eyes.

The moment she saw me open my eyes, all the worry from her eyes disappears into an inevitable joy. She says my name and embraces me into a hug. I try hugging her back and asking her what happened and why I am in a hospital but even though the words are just on the tip of my tongue, the immense pain that I feel in my head doesn’t let me do anything. Family [Short Story (1/2)]

I stand at the entrance of this lonely house as the sinister silence haunts my soul. I see my children laughing, playing and running towards me but they disappear the moment I try to come close to them and stop them from falling. My heart starts pounding loudly and my eyes get filled with worry as I search the house, and turn it upside down, but my children are nowhere to be seen. I hear the sound of my wife calling me out from the backyard and I run to look for her, but when I reach the backyard there is not a soul to be seen. “This can’t be happening. First my children and now my wife too?” I think to myself. I can’t do this anymore, I just can’t. I just hate myself for not being there for them when they needed me and now, it’s just too late… they are all gone. Continue reading

Just Another Girl

Love is a joke, it is a game
A game I’ve lost over and over again.

I was afraid,
to love you and to ever trust you.
I was afraid,
thinking that you would dissemble me just like the rest.

But, I fell in love with you
thought that our love was sempiternal.

I was a fool,
to think you were the one.
I was a fool,
because you were just like the rest.

All I would do, was sit and brood
wondering what went wrong.

For You…

For you, I will be the sun
shining bright and protecting you from the cold.

For you, I will be the stars
illuminating through the darkness and guiding you back home.

All you have to do is give me all your love.
For that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

For you, I will be the best
unlike the rest.

For you, I will give my heart
without falling apart. Continue reading

Strangers

They had different destinations.

He wanted to soar high above people’s expectations

She wanted to run away, and go back to the place that yearned for her.

They had their differences,

but they never let that come between them.

They didn’t talk everyday,

and rarely got to meet each other.

They had a label on them,

that kept them apart even when they wanted to be together.

Those days passed and turned to months,

the distance between them grew stronger

tearing them apart,

because he never tried and she gave up trying. Continue reading

Society

Bill Cosby had once said : “Those who criticize our generation forget who raised it.” Good Evening everyone! Hope you’re all having a great day. Today, I will be writing about our society and it’s expectations.

Let’s start with the bitter truth that in our society, you can NEVER be good enough. It’s sad to know that you will be judged on literally everything you do like on what you wear, how you act and especially about what you look like. You’ll even be made fun of for being who you are.

If your skinny, you’ll be called anorexic. If your thick, you’ll be called obese. If your friendly, you’ll be called fake. If you’re quiet, you’ll be called rude and the list just goes on.

At this rate, I personally feel that our society aims at bringing us down rather then making us strong leaders for the future. As a human being, each and every single one of us has the right to freedom of expression and we shouldn’t let anyone take it away from us.

Our society expects way too much from us and when someone tries to move one step towards their dream, then the society criticises so much that we even start to question our existence.

To all my readers, all of us are unique and amazing in our own ways. Don’t aim towards perfection because personally I feel that perfection kills. Their’s no such thing as perfection, so strive for progress not perfection.

For Just A Little Longer

For just a little longer,

there was heavy rain

and I was with my friends.

The millions of raindrops didn’t go in vain

because I was with my friends.

We just couldn’t stop laughing,

by the humor of our situation.

We just couldn’t stop playing,

because of the wildness of our imagination.

We splashed and jumped in the puddles,

enjoying each and every moment.

We ran and played and cuddled,

for we knew our friendship, no one could torment. Continue reading
